All projects are overseen by the Field Services dept. and the Quality Control Services dept. Project managers or Field Executives in each country reports to their respective in-country field manager. For a multi country project, A central project management team is always in hand headed by operations Director. For National projects, Team Leaders report to the FE who in turn provides project updates to the field manager.
For every project the field management team comprises, the Field Manager, The QC Manger, the Field Executive, the project’s Team Leaders/supervisor and the DP Supervisor. Our Standard Project team is made up of 5 interviewers, a team leader and a QC executive.
After each project, the project team organises a debrief to assess the success or challenges of the project and proffer ways to address difficulties experienced in the future
On project confirmation, the field manager assembles the interviewers and the supervisors. Usually we assign 2 full days for the in-office and trial /pilot test. First day covers the project methodology, and second day covers the Questionnaires and other DC instruments.
The team leader/supervisor takes charge of the day to day data collection exercises with his/her team. The QC executive attached to each team works liaises on a daily basis with the team leader to address any quality Standard issues.
Our field Quality Controllers work independently and perform these field quality checks: accompany, spot and back checks, editing/scrutiny and translation related functions. The quality controller generates work-in-progress reports to address issues needing urgent attention during the period of fieldwork.
At the end of field date, he prepares a comprehensive quality control report. Communication is maintained frequently between the quality controller and field executive during the life of each project so problems can be solved while it is useful.
The team leaders play a crucial role during and after fieldwork. They are trained constantly to meet the field challenges which crop-up constantly.
Our team leaders consume 99.9% of their time in the field with the interviewers. They have daily target to achieve and they are constantly monitored by their respective Field Executives.
Team leaders accompany interviewers to the field, provide on the job training for them, spot-check while in the field, and do 20% back-checks on completed work.
Every survey instrument is scrutinized page by page to minimize errors.
